"Therefore, when we build," John Ruskin "The Seven Lamps of Architecture" (1849)
On hoarding outside building site in Holloway Road,Islington, London near my branch office. I wonder what people will think of this modern development in 50 years or so? Will it meet the test?

High rise tower blocks, most housing association housing, Westfield Stratford, the Olympic park (except for the Velodrome and Olympic poor), new developments at the Olympic park...

nothing wrong with the Olympic stadium or Westfield in my view. I think that most of the new developments will be a success but not all of course.
Time will tell.
