ONEUNISON - Winning for all UNISON members & our public services.

"UNISON holds elections every two years for the National Executive Council. It’s an important body representing every region, nation, service group, Black members, young members and disabled members. Key decisions about what our union does are made by the NEC.

This year’s elections are your chance to vote for a new leadership team that will get on with the job, work in partnership with our elected General Secretary, positively promote our union and stay focused on winning for all UNISON members and our public services.

ONE UNISON is a group of UNISON activists who will campaign for candidates who promise to do that. There are lots of candidates in these elections, so we’ll make it easy for you to choose!

UNISON SGE elections - Online ballot ends 5pm tomorrow - Wednesday 25 May (Vote to save our Union from Sexist Bullies & Ultra Left Extremism!)

Ballot closes tomorrow 25 May at 5pm for online votes (UNISON members also had the choice of a postal vote which I suspect is now too late so they should search their emails for online ballot papers from CES)

This morning a UNISON member rang me for advice on who to vote for in the London Local Government seat and I recommended Sonya but also see below for other recommendations.

Check out OneUNISON website for further details of your "cost of living" UNISON champions.

London Local Government:               Sonya Howard.
East Midlands Local Government:    Jess and Richard
West Midlands Local Government:    Ash

Vote Malcolm Gray & Clare Penny-Evans for UNISON Northern Region Community SGE Elections (Housing Associations and Voluntary Sector)

If you work for Housing Associations or the Voluntary sector in UNISON's Northern Region, you should have (or shortly will) receive a postal ballot and either/or electronic ballot for this important election. This is a quick plug for "cost of living crisis" campaign champions, Malcolm and Clare.

Check out the new members website https://www.oneunison.org/ to give them your views on the "Cost of Living Crisis" campaign and find out more about these elections which are being held across UNISON.

Personally, I think Malcolm and Claire will make a great team representing Community workers in Northern Region and campaigning on this huge issue.

While I do not work in Northern region and therefore cannot vote for Malcolm and Clare, since people who aren't even UNISON members, are actively campaigning for their opponents, then I think I can give my opinion (for what it is worth).

ONEUNISON - Taking on the Cost of Living Crisis

Check out this new campaigning website by UNISON activists which was launched this week alongside a survey of members on the cost of living crisis.

"ONEUNISON is a group of UNISON activists who are focusing on the real issues that matter to members...

bills, bills, bills

The cost of living crisis is hitting members hard, especially those from under-represented groups, and we want to speak with one voice on this important issue. We are campaigning for the government to end the cost of living crisis.

Let us know how much your income is being squeezed using the form above and ask your UNISON friends to do the same. We’ll then let you know who your local campaign team is and how you can help".

Check out the website (and survey) here. Sign up for  updates and information on this campaigns and your local campaign teams.
