Beat the BNP in Barking Day of Action - Saturday 13 March 2010

"Barking Labour Party held a record day of action last Saturday with over 1 000 contacts made. Thank you so much to everyone who came along and helped out.

Our next day of action will be on the 13th March. We will be at Wood Lane Baptist Church between 11am and 4pm, with a lunch provided between 1pm and 2pm. I really do hope that you can join us. We give a warm welcome and full training to anyone who hasn't been canvassing before.

From next week we are increasing our phone canvassing. We are running sessions from 6pm each evening in Barking, please do drop in if you have some spare time, the number to call is 07576 323 109.

I look forward to seeing you next Saturday in Barking.

Best wishes

Margaret Hodge"

It's a shame that UNISON isn't spending more of its time and resources on fighting the BNP, and instead launching dawn raids and lock changes on democratically elected branches.

I note that you have not condemned what has happened in four London branches so far, and as an elected Regional Officer are complicit in this bureaucratic coup.

Shame on you.

Mr Anonymous,

Do not use the BNP threat as an opportunity to have a go at my good friend John!

Whatever his views are on the 'raids' that has nothing to do with Dagenham, the two issues are not connected!

Shame on you Mr Anonymous!

John,

Do keep up the good work. More than I can say for these 'wreckers' in ULU and SPEW who actually opposed the anti-fascist motion at Unison Conference then have the utter cheek to fill thier Blogs with downwright lies about the so called 'dawn raids'. I have read what is on the two main culprits Blogs and do feel that they have now stepped over the thin line by publishing highly defamatory comments, whilst also clearly bring the good name of UNISON into disrepute by thier activities. Sounds like a good reason for Rule I investigation ?

How many of these wreckers will be in Dagenham next week I wonder ??
