"John, in just a couple of weeks thousands of us will vote in local elections.
When we vote we can can transform this country. When we vote we can send an unmistakable message to Theresa May and the Tories that change is coming.
But all kinds of things can get in the way of making it out to vote on election day — it could be work, caring for our families, a holiday, an illness or disability.
If this sounds familiar, or if you're not sure you will be around on 3 May, why not register to vote by post? We've made it really simple for you to do with a brand new online tool.
Just fill in the online form, print it out, and we'll tell you exactly where to send it. But be quick — you've only got until 18 April.
And if you think you know someone who might not be able to make it to their polling station when local elections take place on 3 May — then share this online tool with them before it's too late.
Our movement is a movement determined to give a voice to everyone — up and down this country — that needs to finally be heard. From the nurse earning too little to get by, to the university student unsure if they will ever find a career or own their own home.
While Theresa May's Tories would rather not reach out, our Labour values mean we refuse not to. Let's prove that by making sure everyone gets the opportunity to vote in local elections.
