Only 13 days until the local elections on 3rd May 2018 and the weather is looking lovely!

Grab your sun cream and join us for a canvassing session in the next week to get our Labour candidates and our fantastic mayoral candidate Rokhsana Fiaz elected. Details of dates, times and contacts are below - or see our website.

Don't worry if you've never done canvassing before - there will be people who can show you the ropes. It's a nice way to get to know the borough, speak to the public - and enjoy the April sunshine!

Special notices:

• Postal ballots go out this weekend and most will vote within three days of receiving their ballot. It is vital that Labour voters receive their postal vote cards ASAP - if you can deliver postal vote reminder cards over the weekend, get in touch with your ward secretary (email details here) or with the CLP Secretary Alan Griffiths.
• Stratford and New Town branch will be canvassing and leafleting all day in E20 on Saturday 21st April - details below. If you can pop along for even half an hour that would be much appreciated!
• Save the date for the CLP fundraiser on the 10th May 2018 when Shadow Justice Secretary, Richard Burgon MP, will be joining us for a CLP event to reflect on the outcome of the elections, locally and nationally.  Richard is one of the best speakers on the Labour front bench and we are delighted he is visiting the CLP. Details about time and venue to follow.
• On 12th May 2018, thousands of people will march through London to demand a new deal for working people as part of the TUC-organised demonstration - we hope West Ham Labour members will join it.
• West Ham CLP’s General Committee will have the option of selecting further West Ham delegates to Labour Party Conference in October.  We have already selected our first delegate, so the CLP’s representation at the conference is already assured, but we can only send additional delegates as resources allow. Please therefore consider donating to the annual conference fundraising page.
