While out campaigning tonight with UNISON and NUS Labour supporters in the Shadwell Council By-Election. I went past the venue of the Respect “Mass Public meeting” at a local school. Apparently tonight they are going to disclose some “top secret” Labour Party” document. Can’t wait!
Despite being just after the official starting time the venue did not seem to be very busy. Therefore I have taken the liberty of ordering a suitable venue for the next Respect “mass meeting" (see above right)
While I’m at it – striking sunset tonight over Shadwell Basin

Although it was a late start the meeting was packed out. HM came across as a humorous and competent speaker and GG gave the usual rousing speech. Other big hitters included John Rees the national secretary of Respect and Lindsey German.
On another matter is it true that Michael Keith can speak Bengali?
Hi EB
Thank you for your report. Not sure about “big hitters” label for Rees and German? However, I suppose it is a small (and murky) pond.
Don’t know whether Michael speaks Bengali (or rather Sylheti). Would not be surprised if he does. Jim Fitzpatrick gave a speech in Sylheti at the rally on Saturday. Will ask tonight.
What was the “secret” Labour document? It was mentioned in the press release?
There was no secret Labour document released. It might have been a something to get the punters to the meeting.
Would that be the small and murky pond of anti war activists?
Its no wonder you lost.

Hi EB
Sorry this is a bit late but according to Sirajul, Michael Keith speaks very good Sylheti! While Michael himself was (typically) more modest and said that he should learn more. I’ve no doubt he will be back as a Councillor (if he wants) in 2010 and we will find out then.

Hi Anon
Nope – the small and murky pond of bigots and fanatics.
