UNISON SGE elections - Online ballot ends 5pm tomorrow - Wednesday 25 May (Vote to save our Union from Sexist Bullies & Ultra Left Extremism!)

 

Ballot closes tomorrow 25 May at 5pm for online votes (UNISON members also had the choice of a postal vote which I suspect is now too late so they should search their emails for online ballot papers from CES)

This morning a UNISON member rang me for advice on who to vote for in the London Local Government seat and I recommended Sonya but also see below for other recommendations.

Fighting for the NHS: Your London UNISON Health campaign team

On Monday UNISON Health Conference starts and next Thursday 28 April ballot papers will start to drop through the home letter boxes of all UNISON members. It is the start of our biannual National Service Group Executive (SGE) elections. 

Here in London, the local Health Campaign team standing for election are Julie, Annette and Beatrice (I believe Beatrice has been elected unopposed). I hope health members will consider voting for them. I will post other recommendations for other regions and Service Groups in the coming days. 

Love UNISON: Housing Associations branch nominate Lola Oyewusi & John Gray for London Community SGE seats

 

I was really pleased this evening to be nominated unanimously by our branch committee to stand in the UNISON Community Service Group Executive 2022 elections for London alongside my fellow activist Lola Oyewusi. 

"Community" is the part of UNISON  that represents members who work in Housing Associations and the Voluntary Sector. The Service Group Executive is essentially the elected national "committee" for Community with reps from all regions and nations in the UK (and what we call sector reps). We are the faster growing part of UNISON.
