The People have spoken….

Bethnal Green & Bow Labour Party PPC selection. Sorry this is a bit late but I have been away for a few days. Ayub Korom Ali didn’t make it into the shortlist. An absolute shame since he was an excellent candidate. Talent spot him for the future.

However, there are 6 really good candidates left who will face a secret ballot by 450 odd ordinary BG&B Labour Party members on Saturday 28 April (Husting on the 26th). As Ayub made clear in his recent blog the most important thing is that a Labour Party MP is elected at the next election. The final 6 are: -

Rupa Haq,
Rushanara Ali,
Shiria Khatun
Lutfor Rahman,
John Biggs and
Helal Abbas

Rupa is a member of UNISON and would be a winning candidate.

Dirty doings with rumours of a tape circulating featuring LR thanking 2 respect members for wheeling in support from their friends in the L party. Doesn't reflect well on LR or the most likely beneficiary, one for doing it and the other for taping, the moral is vote for one of the ladies who understand the diffence between being an opponent and an enemy.

Come off it Anon, this story is plain daft, muck raking. So far this campaign has been pretty clean - lets keep it this way! We will leave the dirty stuff to diss-Respect
